Ginger O’Neal
From 1985 to 2000, Ginger O’Neal served as a Conservationist with the Perquimans County Soil & Water District and also spent five years as Director of the Perquimans County Board of Elections, demonstrating her commitment to both environmental stewardship and civic engagement.
In 2000, she became Assistant Director of the College of The Albemarle’s Small Business Center and was promoted to Director in 2004, supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners across the center’s seven-county service area with resources, training, and one-on-one counseling. Following her retirement in 2022, Ginger continues to serve as a part-time business advisor and counselor, helping to strengthen local economies and foster entrepreneurship.
If elected to serve on the Chamber board, I will work to increase awareness of the services the Chamber provides to our community while also building stronger connections to the resources available through the COA Small Business Center and other partners. By bridging these networks, I believe we can foster a more vibrant, resilient local economy—one where business owners feel supported, informed, and empowered to grow.
